Investigators check possible connection of Khadis Bottaev's murder with reforms in hospital


In the criminal case on the murder of Khadis Bottaev in Kabardino-Balkaria, investigators check the version suggesting that the murder is connected with the Khadis Bottaev's activities at his post of the chief doctor of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic's Clinical Hospital.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on December 5, Khadis Bottaev was killed at his house in the village of Khasanya. He died from a gunshot wound to his head. According to the investigators, the crime involved several persons. However, there are still no suspects in the criminal case.
Residents of Kabardino-Balkaria report on active rumours about a possible involvement of local militants in the Khadis Bottaev's murder; however, the investigators treat the "professional" version as a priority, the "Kommersant" reports today.
The "Kommersant" also writes that Khadis Bottaev, who was well-known for his principled and rigid decision-making, started his work as the chief doctor of the Republican Clinical Hospital with the personnel decisions. During several months, he dismissed more than 300 employees of the hospital, including four dozen doctors. Besides, he established the control over the administration of medicines in the hospital. After those unpopular steps, Khadis Bottaev acquired many foes, the article "Chief Doctor shot dead in his sleep" reports.
