The Circassian Folklore Festival of Kfar Kama (Israel) will take place in the period 13-15 October 2014. The festival is a celebration of Circassian culture and folklore in three days of events and attractions, including concerts, Circassian dance shows, visits to the Circassian Heritage Centre in Kfar Kama and a traditional cheese dairy, and a performance of professional dance by a troupe from Circassia. The festival is open to all visitors, and all events and functions can be attended for free.
Principal events and functions:
Dance performances will take place daily between 11:00 and 15: 00.
A film on Circassian history will be shown to festival visitors and guests.
The Circassian Heritage Centre, which houses a substantive museum, will be open to visitors during the period of the festival between the hours of 10:00- 17:00.
The main gala show by the State Academic Ensemble of Folk Dance of Adigea "Nalmes" and the local dance troupe will be held on Tuesday, 14 October, at 19:30.
The Festival includes visits to “Elbrus Dairy”, Israel's first commercial Circassian cheese-making concern.
