Advocates of Evgeny Vitishko have appealed against the decision to place the ecologist in late July 2014 for three days into the punishment cell (dungeon). The defence has also prepared a complaint against the verdict to the ecologist.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Evgeny Vitishko was accused of damaging the fence around the territory known as "summer cottage" of Alexander Tkachov, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory. On June 20, 2012, the ecologist was sentenced to three years of conditional imprisonment, but in December 2013 the above District Court replaced the conditional by real imprisonment and sent Vitishko to a settlement-colony in the Tambov Region, where he is serving his term.
In the period from July 31 to August 3, 2014, Evgeny Vitishko was kept in the dungeon (also known as ShIZO) of his colony-settlement in the Tambov Region. Then, his colleagues said that the penalty was caused by the fact that Vitishko kept some canned food in his bag.
Today, the lawyer Valentina Shaisipova has submitted to the court her complaint against the decision of the bosses of colony-settlement No. 2 of the UFSIN (Department of the Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service) for the Tambov Region to place Vitishko into dungeon for violation of the regulations of storing foodstuffs.
According to her story, a copy of the complaint was also sent to Vitishko's colony.
Meanwhile, as reported by Marina Dubrovina, the second advocate for Vitishko, a complaint against his verdict is ready; it will be forwarded to the Supreme Court of Russia until the end of January.
Let us note here that the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" put Vitishko on the list of political prisoners.
