Dagestani state officials have addressed their call to boycott the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey"

Dagestani state officials and the clergy have addressed their call to boycott the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey".
The American movie that starts its screening today will not be shown in most of the republics of Northern Caucasus under the motive that it is contrary to Islamic values and citizens' mentality; besides, religious and public figures spoke against the movie.
A source from the Ministry of Youth of Dagestan said that the movie was banned for screening in Chechnya and Ingushetia.
Most of the residents of Makhachkala, questioned by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, spoke against the boycott of the movie.
"The most interesting thing is that none of the opponents has watched the movie. Now, even those who new nothing about it, will surely find a chance to watch it," said Said Akhmedov, a resident of Makhachkala.
Last year, clergymen in Northern Caucasus called to boycott the movie "Noah" for non-compliance with sacred texts, as well as the episodes with a drunken Noah.
