Agreement in Nalchik, the capitol of Kabardino-Balkaria

The head of Kabardino-Balkaria Republic Yuri Kokov and President of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in Nalchik signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation between the two republics, reports on February 28 the  news agency RIA Kabardino-Balkaria.

Yuri Kokov noted that Kabardino-Balkaria is interested in the conclusion of such an agreement, because Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions of the Russia Federation and has much to offer Kabardino-Balkaria .

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that in recent years the trade turnover between the republics amounted to nearly 1.4 billion rubles, but the potential is much higher. "We need to create opportunities to promote merchandise in the markets of our republics".

Note that in 1998 in Kazan (capitol of Tatarstan) signed a treaty of friendship between the Republic of Tatarstan and Kabardino-Balkaria Republic and agreement between the governments of the two republics on cooperation in economic, scientific, technological, educational, cultural and social fields.
