Investigators institute new criminal case against man killed in special operation


Law enforcers have reported on the involvement of Vadim Shogenov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, killed during a special operation conducted in March 2014, in the creation of a criminal armed grouping. A criminal case has been instituted on the above fact.
According to the law enforcers, yet in 2012, 27-year-old Vadim Shogenov founded an armed criminal grouping "North-west sector of the united vilayat of Kabarda, Balkaria and Karachay" in order to launch attacks on civilians, organizations, and law enforcers.
The investigators have revealed that apart from Vadim Shogenov, the above criminal grouping also involved A. Margush, killed during a special operation conducted in last June, and two local residents, who were put on the federal wanted list.
According to the today's report posted on the website of the Chief Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), the criminal case has been instituted on the grounds of constituent elements of offence under Article 209 (banditry) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
