Ualit Mizhev, a Deputy of the Nogai District Soviet, was beaten up in the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR). He was hospitalized in the status of moderate gravity.
The attack occurred in the evening on September 2 in the village of Erken-Shakhar of the Nogai District, as Zairat Batyrova, an Ualit Mizhev's sister, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to another relative of the deputy, the incident involved a person working in the sphere education, whose resignation Ualit Mizhev tried to achieve, because the man had a criminal record.
Currently, Mizhev is in the central district hospital; he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and multiple bruises. According to his relatives, doctors estimate his condition as of moderate gravity.
In connection with the incident, relatives submitted their application to the Nogai ROVD (District Interior Division).
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent received a confirmation at the on duty unit of the ROVD that they had received information about the incident, but was refused any further comments.
A source from the MIA said that the supposed participant of the incident was delivered to the ROVD, but soon was released without being charged.
