The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 5, 53-year-old Artyom Khatukhov was taken to hospital with brain concussion. The attacker was identified however, the police let him go. According to Artyom Khatukhov, staff members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) tried to dissuade him from filing a complaint about the beating, but he still did it.

Let us remind you that Artyom Khatukhov admits that the attack may be related to his activities concerning payment of compensation for service on the border of the counterterrorist (CTO) zone. In 2009, he and 83 former employees of the Terek OVD (Interior Division) filed a lawsuit against the Kabardino-Balkarian MIA on payment of compensation for the service on the border with the CTO zone during the two Chechen campaigns. The court in Nalchik dismissed their lawsuit.
