The Maikop City Court has found Elman Isaev guilty of preparation for joining an illegal armed formation (IAF) in the territory of Syria and sentenced him to one year and ten months of imprisonment. Earlier, it has been reported that Elman Isaev is a resident of Adygea. However, regional editions call him a native of Dagestan, living in the Krasnodar Territory.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Elman Isaev was accused of preparation for joining in Syria the "Islamic State", recognized as a terrorist organization. On November 24, the Court started hearings in the case against Elman Isaev, which was considered under special procedure, since, according to public prosecutor, at the stage of the investigation, the defendant had fully admitted his guilt and assisted in the investigation.
The Maikop City Court has found Elman Isaev, a resident of Adygea, guilty of preparation for joining an illegal armed formation in Syria, the "Interfax-South" reports with reference to the Prosecutor's Office of Adygea.
"The Court has sentenced him to one year and ten months of imprisonment in a common-security penal colony," the "Interfax-South" quotes an official from the Prosecutor's Office.
