Evgeny Vitishko to challenge election outcome in Tuapse

Ecologist Evgeny Vitishko, a candidate from the "Yabloko" Party, has reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on mass violations during the voting at the Tuapse electoral district. According to the ecologist, the turnout in Tuapse was overstated by 2.5 times, and the results of the voting "do not reflect the real situation."
According to the preliminary information of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Evgeny Vitishko gained 2.14% of votes. At that electoral district, the elections were won by Vladimir Sinyagovsky, Mayor of Novorossiysk, a candidate from the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party, who gained 70.86% of votes.
Evgeny Vitishko has noted that he does not trust the official results of the elections for the 49th Tuapse electoral district and that he intends to challenge the election outcome after the examination of all the protocols of the precinct election commission (PEC).
According to the activist, such an outcome "results from the use of dirty technologies at the elections." In Tuapse, "almost all the polling stations had no observers," noted the ecologist.
Besides, according to Evgeny Vitishko, voters "expressed their indignation about the fact that in Tuapse, they saw lack of candidates from various parties."
The ecologist has also claimed the facts of illegal campaigning in favour of a candidate from the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party on the election day, throwing of additional ballots, and overstated turnout.
Evgeny Vitishko has emphasized that at the PEC in the cinema "Rodina", observers revealed throwing of 100 additional ballots.
