October 8 at the site of the Adygea Republican Institute for Humanitarian Research (ARIGI). The head of Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov met with the head of "KAFFED" (Federation of Caucasian Associations) Yildiz Shekherji, the chairman of "KAFIAD" (Turkish Business Association) Yusuf Taymaz and the representative of "DEIK" (Committee on Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey) Turan Akyn.
The meeting was also attended by: Deputy Prime Minister Vyacheslav Sapiev, Head of the Administration of the Head of Adygea and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Adygea Vladimir Svezhenets, "ARIGI" Director Adam Tleuzh, heads of republican ministries and departments in charge of economy, tourism and national relations.
The head of Adygea noted that in the framework of Russian-Turkish cooperation, the republic is ready for close cooperation with the Circassian (Adyghe) diaspora in Turkey in the business, cultural and educational fields.
“During the visit of the official delegation of Adygea to Turkey, we presented the economic potential and export opportunities of the republic. In many respects, the prospects for cooperation are related to the production, processing and export of agricultural products to the Turkish markets: Adyghe cheese, rice, wheat, horticultural products and the processing industry. Today, our main task is to bring together business structures to create joint projects. We are also interested in the opportunities of the Turkish side in the construction sector, hotel business and the development of inbound tourism,” said Murat Kumpilov.
In turn, the leaders of "KAFFED", "KAFIAD" and "DEIK" noted that the visit of the delegation of Adygea to Turkey was important for the Circassian (Adyghe) diaspora. It was emphasized that the Turkish authorities were convinced of the need to establish ties with Adygea as a significant channel for building long-term and mutually beneficial relations with the Russian Federation. And today's meeting is another step to build fruitful cooperation.
In continuation of the dialogue, the Head of Adygea emphasized the need for systematic work to implement specific projects following the visit. The meeting participants identified a wide range of issues in industry areas. Including the use of a flexible tax policy with regard to investors, the creation of joint ventures in the field of tourism, hotel business, industrial parks, woodworking, agricultural production, as well as in education and cultural exchange.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Adygea presented the investment proposals of the region. The head of the republic was charged with developing common approaches to the development of common business processes with the Turkish side.
The meeting participants separately discussed issues on the conservation and study of the Circassian (Adyghe) language. They noted the results of the project office, which for today is engaged in the translation of cartoons, recording Adyghe tales, organizing language courses and a linguistic camp for children. Next year, it is planned to connect children and youth from Turkey and Jordan to language projects, as well as organize online consultations for teachers of the Circassian (Adyghe) language.
The head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov noted that following the meeting it is necessary to create a bilateral working group that will formulate concrete proposals for each area of cooperation.
