According to the report of TV Adygeya Republic at the moment there are
about 2,500 refugees from Ukraine in Adygeya and in the near future is expected
to reach another 600 refugees from Southeast Ukraine.
The process of obtaining and resettlement the refugees from Ukraine was
discussed during the meeting of the government
committee for handling emergency situations in Adygeya. The meeting headed by Prime Minister of Adygeya Murat Kompilov
which required members of the committee to make all efforts to help the refugees.
It should be noted that during the three years of the war in Syria, only
600 Syrian Circassians managed to come back to Adygeya (Russia). The main
problem that Circassians from Syria who want to return to their historic
homeland have difficulties to get a visa to enter the territory of the Russian
Federation.
Any person who wants to come back to Adygeya have to get an invitation from
someone who lives in Russia. According to the law the person who invite must be
able to finance the inviter for three months. Such invitations have been made
in the past by the organization "Perth" in the city of Nalchik,
Kabardino-Balkaria republic. A year ago this organization was closed by
decision of the court of Nalchik.
