"Circassian Initiative" held a meeting at the Russian Consulate in Istanbul


As IA Natpress reported on September 21, the Turkish NGO "Circassian Initiative" held a meeting at the Russian consulate in Istanbul. This protest action held in the framework of the 150th anniversary of the end of the Russian-Circassian war (21.05.1864) . At the meeting the organization called the authorities of the Russian Federation to recognize the Circassian genocide. 

As explained on the site of  "Circassian Initiative" (ozgurcerkes.com), the first such event was held here on May 21, 2013. Since then, for nearly one and a half years,  held meeting every month.

In the course of the present action, the organizers read out to the assembled journalists and press release. In it, in particular, states that the aggressive policy of tsarist already 400 years. So much she can not curb the imperial ambitions, stop dreaming about the third Rome. 

However, according to members of the organization, the 21st century requires that all people to be openness . That is why the "Circassian Initiative" calls upon the authorities of the Russian Federation to recognize the Circassian genocide committed by the Russian Empire.
