Nalchik resident accused of hacking website of Kabardino-Balkarian's Government


In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), the court is to consider a criminal case against a resident of Nalchik, accused of unauthorized blocking of the access to the website of the Kabardino-Balkarian Government.
Investigators have revealed that the defendant got intentionally illegally connected to the web resource pravitelstvokbr.ru of the KBR's Government, used malicious software and blocked the access to the website for a short time, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the KBR reports.
"The criminal case under Part 1 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of software intentionally designed for unauthorized blocking of computer information) was instituted against the resident of the republic," announces the statement posted at the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the KBR on March 16.
The Article provides up to four years of imprisonment and a fine of up to 200,000 roubles.
