The members of the government of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) were not informed about the sale of the building of the Philharmonic Society to a private person, which followed after the transfer of the building to the balance of the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Torgset". Such testimonies were given at the court session on December 16 by Aliy Musukov, the Prime Minister of the KBR, and Sultan Khazhirokov, the former Minister for Youth Matters.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 12, former and current members of the government stated that the decision to transfer the building of the Philharmonic Society in Nalchik was lawful. The building had not been repaired for many years; and there were no funds to reconstruct it, said officials-witnesses.
On November 16, Aliy Musukov said that in 2011, when ha was the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, he gave his positive opinion, prior to presenting the issue for the government's vote, on the transfer of the above building to the OJSC "Torgset", since he found the project to be economically reasonable.
The next court session will be held on January 16, 2017.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, in the period from November 2011 to June 2012, the defendants presented, for the purchase by an individual entrepreneur of the above building and a land plot the centre of Nalchik, false documents about the understated cost of the building and the land plot.
