Krasnodar ecologist Evgeny Vitishko stops his hunger strike in settlement-colony

In the settlement-colony of the Tambov Region, the Krasnodar ecologist Evgeny Vitishko has stopped his hunger strike. The administration of the penitentiary institution has issued one more reprimand against the sentenced activist for violating the order of staying in the dungeon (punishment cell). This was reported on August 5 by the ecologist's supporters.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the hunger strike of Evgeny Vitishko became known on August 3. The ecologist's friends stated that the sentenced activist went on hunger strike in protest immediately after he had been transferred to the dungeon. According to their story, Evgeny was kept in the dungeon from July 31 to August 3.

"His foodstuffs were returned to him. Today, he was reprimanded for 'sleeping in the dungeon'. Besides, prosecutors have started a check of his second reprimand (for allegedly negligent attitude to work), which is conducted at the request of the ecologist," his friends said.

Earlier, rights defenders reported that during his stay at the settlement-colony, Evgeny Vitishko received several reprimands and filed at least three complaints to the Prosecutor's Office about violation of his rights.
