KBR's ministers are tasked to fight extremism in schools

Yuri Kokov, the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has fixed his ministers and heads of republic's agencies to schools for practical assistance in preventing extremism.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 7 Mr Kokov demanded to intensify the work of antiterrorist commissions. To this end, he offered to fix ministries and heads of agencies to schools, where they once studied themselves. He said that senior state servants must be directly involved in the educational process and practice meeting with schoolchildren.
The head of the KBR instructed all the members of the Government and other high-ranking officials to patronize schools, universities and other educational establishments in order to run preventive work there to combat extremism and terrorism, as Zalim Kashirokov, the Minister for coordinating efforts of KBR's executive bodies in preventing extremism and realization of youth policy, said at the sitting of the Govt on November 12.
Let us remind you that in summer the situation in the KBR got aggravated; and power agents conducted a series of counterterrorist operations (CTOs). In June, four suspected militants were killed; in July, the death toll included nine alleged members of the armed underground and two law enforcers; and in August, six persons were killed in the course of a CTO in Nalchik.
