Krasnodar and Adygeya has started in the vicinity of the park named after 50th
anniversary of October Revolution in Makhachkala, the press service of the
Mayor’s Office reports. The fair will last till April 12.
The
agricultural producers have arranged 40 shopping pavilions formed by assortment
groups. The fair is organized with the support of Makhachkala administration
and the municipal Department for Trade, Consumer Market and Services.
The fair
allow people to purchase products directly from the manufacturers - the peasant
farms, individual entrepreneurs and small agricultural producers without
intermediaries. The prices for the products are lower than the average by 15-20
per cent. Besides, the fair provides a comfortable environment for both sellers
and the buyers. The fair grants the manufacturers a good opportunity to sell
their products, bypassing the bureaucratic obstacles, the middlemen and
wholesalers – the press release of the Mayor’s Office runs.
The private
enterprises and companies from Stavropol and Krasnodar regions are the regular
fair participants. They offer the residents of Makhachkala a diverse range of
products: fishery products, cheeses, meats and sausages, groceries, fruits and
vegetables, canned goods and pickles, bread and bakery products, flour,
cereals, sugar, honey, household chemicals, products of textile production, and
more than a thousand items of goods.
Food fairs
are very popular among the residents of the city. Noteworthy, the fair is one
of the ways to curb rising prices in terms of sanctions and additional
opportunity for farmers to sell their products.
