Police release residents of Dagestan detainees at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow

The natives of Dagestan Shuaib Shuaibov and Isa Abdusamadov, who were detained at Vnukovo Airport have been released from the police after a check, said Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Shuaib Shuaibov, who lives in Ekaterinburg, and Isa Abdusamadov, a resident of Dagestan, arrived from Cairo to Moscow; they were detained at Vnukovo Airport on January 22; and on January 23, they were sent to Dagestan. The Dagestanis were questioned about their possible participation in military operations in Syria, said the wife of Shuaib Shuaibov.

On January 24, Shuaibov and Abdusamadov were released; and no charges were brought against them, said Selimkhanova.

"They were taken to Khasavyurt for checking at the local MIA. However, most probably, the information about their possible involvement in warfare in Syria was not confirmed," she said.

At the same time, a source from the Khasavyurt GOVD (City Interior Division) did not confirm that Shuaibov and Abdusamadov had been brought there.
