In the republic of Adygeya, for 2014 the number of people regularly engaged in physical culture and sports, increased by 25.3 thousand people (in 2013 - 9.5). to 144.4 thousand people (in total). This is 32.3% of the total population of the republic,- the press service of the head of Adygeya reported.
According to Aslan Tkhakushinov, this fact influenced the development of sports infrastructure. Over the past year the number of sport facilities increased from 783 (in 2013) to 834.
In 2014, commissioned a swimming pool in Maykop, gym Adygeysk, 49 sports facilities, including 15 football fields. In 2012-2014 built over 99 sport facilities.
"And this work will continue. Last year, during a working meeting in Moscow with Minister of Sport and Tourism of Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko, proposed to build in Maykop "Ice Palace". This year, we have already begun to work with documents and I think in the next year we will begin construction of the "Ice Palace". I think, in the future we will have good results in the Olympic games in field of judo, cycling and shooting sport", - said Aslan Tkhakushinov.
Also, in the republic continues the construction of the national stadium in Maykop and fitness center in the town of Gaverdovsk.
